Software Engineer Java

• Develop and maintain scalable Java microservices
• Build RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions using Kafka
• Work with MongoDB and cloud-native architectures
• Create automated tests using TDD and BDD practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and optimisation
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers and business stakeholders
• Support deployment and production releases

• Strong commercial experience with Java
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Kafka
• Experience working with MongoDB
• Understanding of Docker images and containerisation
• Strong knowledge of Unit Testing and TDD
• Experience writing BDD/Gherkin-style tests
• Experience with Cucumber
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as:
• Jenkins
• GitLab
• GitHub Actions

• AWS services including:
• SQS

• Performance/load testing using:
