Presales Service Architect

As a Presales Service Architect, you will play a key role in shaping complex managed service and digital transformation opportunities for some of the UK&I’s largest organisations. Working across cloud, infrastructure, digital workplace, applications, and security services, you will design innovative service operating models that deliver measurable business outcomes and long-term value for customers. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse range of industries, technologies, and business challenges, ensuring continuous professional development and learning. At the same time, you’ll collaborate with a highly experienced community of Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Cloud Architects, Security Architects, and Delivery Leaders, helping to shape strategic bids and transformation programmes from concept through to successful delivery., * Design end-to-end managed service solutions and future-state operating models.

• Define service management, support, governance, transition, and transformation approaches.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and service design workshops.
• Develop bid content, service narratives, proposals, and executive presentations.
• Create resource models, operational assumptions, service cost models, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with technical, delivery, commercial, finance, legal, and security teams.
• Ensure solutions meet customer, contractual, security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Support operational readiness, service mobilisation, assurance, and continual improvement.

• Service Architecture & Managed Services: Proven experience designing complex end-to-end managed service and outsourcing solutions.
• ITIL & Operating Model Expertise: Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and experience creating service operating models, governance frameworks, support structures, and service-level frameworks.
• Transition & Transformation: Experience defining service transition, mobilisation, onboarding, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness approaches.
• Commercial & Bid Experience: Ability to support complex bids through service costing, resource modelling, risk assessment, proposal development, and solution presentations.
• Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex service concepts to technical and executive audiences., * Experience within Central Government, Local Government, Defence, Financial Services, Utilities, Healthcare, Retail, or other commercial enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of SIAM, DevOps, Agile, product-centred delivery, and multi-supplier operating models.
• Experience designing services across cloud, infrastructure, applications, security, and digital workplace environments.
• ITIL, SIAM, TOGAF, PRINCE2, MSP, COBIT, Agile, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience contributing to contractual schedules, statements of work, service-level frameworks, and responsibility assignment models, Note: This role is UK-based and offers a remote working opportunity, with occasional UK domestic travel as required. The successful candidate should hold or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance to work with UK public sector organisations.

About the Opportunity

The Presales Service Architect is a strategic, customer-facing role within the Atos UK&I Solutioning and Architecture community. You will design competitive, commercially viable, and operationally deliverable managed service solutions for complex customer opportunities.

Working within multidisciplinary bid and pursuit teams, you will translate customer requirements into comprehensive service models covering transition, operations, governance, performance, and continual improvement.
