RPG Developer

The RPG Programmer will develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This role will support existing applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to application modernization and integration initiatives., * Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform

• Work with RPG III, RPG IV, ILE RPG, and Free-Form RPG
• Maintain applications developed with ASNA Visual RPG
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
• Support application modernization, system integration, and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business teams
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established development standards
• Participate in scheduled production support and on-call support as needed, RPG Developer, RPG Development, IBM Iseries, AS/400, RPG III, RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Form RPG, ASNA Visual RPG, DB2

• Professional experience developing applications with RPG on the IBM i platform
• Experience with RPG IV, ILE RPG, CL, and DB2 for i
• Experience maintaining and enhancing existing applications
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Free-Form RPG
• Experience with ASNA Visual RPG
• Experience supporting Accounts Receivable or financial applications
• Familiarity with IBM i system administration concepts
• Experience with SQL, web services, or system integrations
• Experience with ERP systems or application modernization initiatives

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations; and
• other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
