Therapist / IOP-PHP Group Facilitator - Mental Health & Substance Use

• Provide individual behavioral health counseling/therapy to clients participating in outpatient, IOP, and/or PHP services.
• Facilitate structured therapeutic groups for IOP and PHP programs.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including diagnostic evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical assessments.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
• Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered interventions.
• Address mental health and, when appropriately credentialed, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Monitor client progress and participate in treatment-plan reviews and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment-team meetings and communicate appropriately with other members of the client’s care team.
• Provide crisis assessment, risk identification, and appropriate escalation in accordance with clinical protocols and scope of practice.
• Coordinate referrals and continuity of care when appropriate.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with Maryland licensure requirements and Revive Life policies.
• Participate in program development and quality-improvement activities as the IOP/PHP programs grow.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities consistent with the individual’s credentials, training, and scope of practice.
• Evening Availability Required: Candidates must be available to facilitate scheduled evening IOP sessions. Sessions may be conducted in person or remotely via telehealth, based on program needs and scheduling.

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another related behavioral health field, as applicable to Maryland licensure.
• Current Maryland clinical license/certification or eligibility to practice under appropriate Maryland supervision.
• Strong clinical communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals as well as in a group-treatment environment.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Commitment to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centered care.

Licensure & Clinical Experience - Maryland Credentials Considered

• Fully licensed clinicians such as LCSW-C, LCPC, LCADC, and other applicable Maryland clinical credentials.
• Master’s-level clinicians holding credentials such as LMSW, LGPC, or LGADC and practicing under the supervision required by Maryland regulations.
• Clinicians who are actively working toward independent clinical licensure and have completed a substantial portion of their required supervised clinical experience.
• Candidates who are progressing toward independent licensure and have demonstrated meaningful clinical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Clinicians working toward independent licensure are encouraged to apply. Supervision requirements will be determined based on the individual’s license, scope of practice, and clinical responsibilities., * Experience working with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders strongly preferred.

• Experience facilitating psychotherapy or psychoeducational groups.
• Experience working in an IOP, PHP, residential, community mental health, or other structured behavioral health setting.
• Experience with crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches.
• Experience working with diverse populations and complex clinical presentations.
• Knowledge of ASAM principles and levels of care is a plus.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

Position Type

Contract, Part-time

Schedule and compensation will be based on experience, licensure/credentialing status, clinical responsibilities, and program needs.

Compensation

$35-$60/hour

Compensation will be commensurate with licensure status, clinical experience, scope of practice, and responsibilities.
