Computer Science Instructor

The department of Computer Science is accepting applications for part-time instructor responsible for teaching undergraduate computer science courses on an as-needed basis. The Computer Science Department at times needs temporary part-time Instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves., * Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress.

• Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely-related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or closely-related discipline) or extensive industry experience in programming or software engineering.
• Course work in computer science beyond the level of the course being taught.
• Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
• Successful interview.
• Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or closely-related discipline).
• Prior college-level teaching experience.
