The role plays a key part in protecting company and member data, strengthening security controls, responding to cyber threats and incidents, and supporting the delivery of the wider Information Security Strategy. Working closely with cross functional teams - this position offers broad exposure across operational security, governance, risk and security improvement initiatives.Key ActionsProvide security guidance and best practice advice to business areas and technology teams across the organisationSupport the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of the Information Security Management System to ensure continued ISO27001 complianceMonitor security systems, tools and alerts, investigating issues and escalating incidents where requiredParticipate in the detection, management and response to cyber security incidents, including on-call dutiesContribute to the implementation, management and enhancement of technical security controls across the businessSupport penetration testing activities and coordinate remediation of identified vulnerabilities and findingsEngage with project teams to ensure security risks are identified and addressed throughout the software development lifecycleUndertake security due diligence assessments of third-party suppliers and technology partnersContribute to security awareness, training activities and the development of cyber response playbooks and exercisesProduce reporting, metrics and insights that support

cyber security operations and continuous improvement initiativesWhat do you need to thrive?Minimum two years’ experience working within an Information Security roleUnderstanding of information security principles, frameworks and regulatory requirements including ISO27001 and data protection standardsExperience monitoring security tools and supporting cyber security incident management activitiesKnowledge of technical security controls such as vulnerability management, RBAC, PAM, patch management, DLP or anti-virus technologiesAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and identify practical solutionsExperience identifying and implementing process improvementsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate workProactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
