GIS Consultant / Senior GIS Consultant

Work PatternThe role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, Monday - Thursday 9am-5.30pm & Friday 9am-5pm, a total of 37hrs per week. The role’s office base is Edinburgh and hybrid working will be offered following an initial training period. Further details of this will be discussed at interview. To be Successful The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience and for those looking to apply at the more Senior level, you will have experience in having responsibility for leading complex technical workstreams and mentoring colleagues. You will have proven experience in providing GIS support to multi-discipline, client focused, project environments. Relevant industry experience is preferred, although not essential. You will have advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Pro (3.5 or later) and/or QGIS (3.4 or later), experience in spatial database design and management with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases, proven ability to publish, manage, and administer web feature and web map services using a GIS server (Esri ArcGIS Online, GeoServer, or equivalent), practical experience using FME (Form and Flow) for data integration and automation, and working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, including Field Maps and Survey123. The successful candidate will also have strong digital cartography skills, with experience in producing high-quality maps, plans, reports, and visualisations to professional standard, and demonstrable experience analysing spatial data to answer
