Precision Tooling Engineer

In this role your duties will include repairing press tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machine parts, create and commission new jigs and fixtures, assist with new product introduction, implement continuous improvement techniques,

The Role:

• Design, fabricate, and commission new jigs and fixtures to support production processes.
• Support new product introductions, ensuring equipment and processes meet operational requirements.
• Analyse tooling issues and root causes, developing effective PPM and TPM activities.
• Rotating shift, 1 week: 7:00am to 3:00pm, week 2: 3:00pm to 11:00pm
• £20.00 to £22.86 per hour plus 25 % shift allowance when working 3:00pm-11:00pm

• Apprenticeship as Mechanical Fitter, Machinist, or Toolmaker or relevant NVQ Level 3/BTEC Level 3
• Proficiency in CNC lathe, CNC mill, and surface grinding
• Experience in AutoCAD, 3D modelling or inventor would be advantageous
• TIG/JIG welding would be advantageous.

Salary £45,600 to £52,200 dependant on experience (inc shift premium) + Bonus Scheme + Overtime + 33Days Holiday inc Bank Holidays + Pension + Extra Benefits, The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
