Job description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to support a major legacy system modernization initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for refactoring monolithic legacy code (servlets implementing MVC) into a scalable, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). You will develop reusable backend business services utilizing JSON/REST via Spring and CXF, integrate with relational databases, build responsive user interface components with React, and implement comprehensive automated QA/unit tests., * Refactor existing business logic and database I/O Java code from servlet-based MVC architecture into a modern Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Design and write robust Java services utilizing JSON/REST through Spring Framework and Apache CXF.
Develop reusable, modular business services and components following standard SOA and MVC design patterns.
Build, enhance, and maintain modern web frontends using the React UI library.
Write efficient SQL queries and manage integration with relational databases (Oracle DB).
Implement unit tests and mock implementations using Maven to thoroughly instrument code paths and ensure high test coverage.
Perform automated security analysis of Java code and resolve code quality and vulnerability findings.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance, service integrations, and database queries across environments hosted on TomEE / Tomcat application servers.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience Level: Experienced Non-Manager (4+ years of professional software development).
Backend: 4+ years of advanced core Java development; solid background with Spring Framework, CXF REST web services, and TomEE/Tomcat application servers.
Frontend: 1+ years of practical experience developing user interfaces using React.
Database: 2+ years of relational database and SQL experience; familiarity with Oracle DB.
Testing & Quality: Proven experience with unit testing, Maven build automation, test mock frameworks, and automated Java code security scanning tools.
Work Authorization & Clearance: Ability to successfully complete standard background checks, identity verification, and state/agency fingerprint clearances., * Java Development (Required 4 Years)
