Oracle DW Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer / Programmer Specialist (Oracle / PL/SQL / Data Warehouse) to lead database development, production support, and performance optimization for mission-critical enterprise data warehouse and analytics systems., In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and tuning complex database applications, ETL pipelines, and batch data-loading workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production defects, ensure data integrity, translate complex business requirements into robust technical implementations, and drive data warehouse initiatives., * Data Load Monitoring & Validation: Monitor and validate scheduled and ad hoc ETL/batch data loads, reconcile source-to-target datasets, investigate data discrepancies, and implement resolutions to maintain high data quality.

• Production Support & Incident Investigation: Investigate high-impact production incidents across database applications, SQL/PL/SQL routines, and ETL workflows; conduct root-cause analysis, correct defects, and ensure fixes introduce no downstream side effects.
• Database Programming & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain complex Oracle stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and custom data processing units.
• Performance Analysis & Query Tuning: Analyze database performance bottlenecks, inspect SQL execution plans, optimize indexing strategies, and refactor inefficient SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Requirements & Solution Design: Translate functional business needs and operational problems into clear technical requirements, evaluate trade-offs between architectural approaches, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Formulate and execute unit, integration, regression, system, and data validation test scripts to confirm technical accuracy, error handling, and business rule adherence.
• Technical Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain comprehensive operational, system, and architectural documentation; actively participate in code/design reviews and guide technical and business stakeholders on data relationships and reporting capabilities.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Core Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible software and database development experience, including production support and systems troubleshooting.
• Oracle & SQL Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on expertise building enterprise solutions using Oracle Relational Database systems, advanced SQL, and PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, triggers).
• Data Warehousing & ETL: Proven experience working with enterprise data warehouses, dimensional data modeling, source-to-target mapping, and large-scale ETL/batch integration workloads.
• Diagnostic Tools: Proficiency with Oracle SQL Developer or equivalent database management and query-tuning tools.
• Soft Skills: Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, handle competing priorities, and articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Position Type: Contract (Staff Augmentation, 40 hours/week)
• Location: 100% Remote (Candidates must reside and work within the Eastern or Central Time Zones)
