Technical Program Manager

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive program execution and operational structure within a manufacturing engineering organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Jira, Excel, dashboards, technical documentation, and manufacturing program coordination, with the ability to turn fragmented tracking processes into scalable systems that improve visibility and execution., * Migrate existing Excel-based tracking systems into Jira, including project structures, workflows, issue types, custom fields, and dashboards.

• Connect Jira, Quickbase/databases, Excel, and reporting tools to create a single source of truth for program tracking.
• Build dashboards providing visibility into program status, build readiness, material risk, actions, and milestones.
• Draft and maintain SOPs, process documentation, decision logs, lessons learned, and program status reports.
• Work directly on the manufacturing floor with engineers, operators, and technicians to identify and resolve blockers.
• Facilitate program reviews, capture decisions and action items, and drive commitments through closure.
• Track cross-functional actions across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting, status collection, and data aggregation.
• Support hardware/NPI programs involving build schedules, BOM tracking, material readiness, and engineering changes. *

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Technical Program Manager to bring structure, visibility, and execution discipline to a fast-moving manufacturing engineering organization. This role requires 3+ years of experience in technical program management, hardware, manufacturing, or engineering environments, with strong expertise in Jira administration, project tracking, dashboards, technical documentation, and data-driven reporting. Candidates should have experience working directly with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams. Strong technical writing, hands-on manufacturing floor presence, and the ability to identify and resolve blockers are essential., 1. Jira Administration & Program Tracking - Strong hands-on experience configuring Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, dashboards, and JQL; not just an end user.

1. Manufacturing / Hardware Program Management - 3+ years supporting technical programs in hardware, manufacturing, or engineering environments, including cross-functional execution.
2. Technical Documentation & Data Reporting - Strong technical writing and Excel/Google Sheets skills, with experience creating SOPs, status reports, dashboards, and structured tracking systems.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, Business, or a related discipline., The ideal candidate is a hands-on Technical Program Manager with 3+ years of experience in hardware or manufacturing environments who can bring structure to fragmented processes. They should be strong in Jira administration, data tracking, technical writing, dashboards, and cross-functional coordination, while being comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor. Experience with NPI, BOM/material readiness, engineering changes, databases, and visualization tools is highly preferred.
