Sr. Software Quality Engineer

You will be the Software Quality Engineer Sr for the Software Quality Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring software quality across make-and-buy software products and related systems.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Quality Engineer Sr you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and applying quality principles to software development and maintenance. You will lead verification and validation activities, define audit strategies, and ensure compliance with project, process, and contract requirements. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and apply quality principles for software and software-based systems.

• Perform verification and validation of test equipment, including hardware-in-the-loop systems.

• Define and execute audit strategies to ensure process compliance.

• Design, specify, and conduct test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation.

• Review software products against contractual, technical, and process requirements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start., * STEM degree at the bachelor level or above preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education

• Experience with product development phases, preferrably on software products.
• Basic knowledge of audit principles and techniques
• Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design / Development, Product Integration and Test, with experience using causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Experience interpreting software design and code (ADA / C / C++) to verify implementation of requirements
• Familiarity with test equipment hardware and/or experience working with related technologies
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Desired Skills

• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
• Hands on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SaFE, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems / Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100,ISO9001)
• Experience interfacing with Government customers and stakeholders
