Django/Python Engineer

Many of our web-based projects remain evergreen with Content Management Systems (CMS) concept design, API integration, micro-service creation, development testing, and full site launches, our Web Team is at the forefront of creating these projects., * Use server-side languages such as Django and Python to develop websites, web applications, and Content Management Systems (CMS)

• Connect to third-party APIs using REST implementations
• Develop requirements and planning documentation
• Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
• Maintain working knowledge of Content Management in Django
• Create and manage DigitalOcean Droplet instances
• Frequently commit code repositories (with release notes) within BitBucket
• Proactively perform cross-browser testing and optimizations
• Tracking of hours, tasks, and milestones in project management software
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a successful Django/Python Engineer, you guessed it, your focus will be on the Django backend system, API integration, and testing - have experience working on more complex websites and applications with minimal oversight. Education & Experience:

• 2-4 years professional development experience
• Expert knowledge of PHP, C#, and/or Python
• Expert knowledge of at least one major frontend framework (i.e. React, Vue)
• Expert knowledge of client-side optimization techniques
• Expert understanding of the latest and legacy browser capabilities, including mobile
• Fluent understanding of object-oriented programming techniques
• Functional knowledge of content management and eCommerce solutions such as Django
• Strong experience with version control systems (i.e. BitBucket)
• Functional knowledge of Linux, Nginx, and Apache
• Familiarity with UNIX terminal commands
• Knowledge of Docker framework, DigitalOcean droplets knowledge is bonus points
• Previous experience as a web developer
• Tough skin and excellent time management skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills with both teams and clients
