Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center) Location: Houston, TX Type: 6 month Contract Compensation: $95.00, * Lead efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale data center environments while following all company, client and project design; may involve leading teams dedicated to these design

• Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget and schedule. Incorporate schedules, budgets and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Possess a willingness to function in multiple job roles simultaneously.
• Provide guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
• Conduct field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports.
• Prepare and/or review technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Review drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis.
• Provide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Compile data and create engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project.
• Mentor, provide guidance, and supervise junior-level engineers and designers.
• Provide training for other technical personnel.
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to determine proper requirements for projects.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are imperative to success in this position.
• Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.
• Strong leadership skills, with desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.

• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive results, set priorities, and plan effectively.
• Skilled in delegating, leading teams, and managing project schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and challenge current assumptions.
• Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Understanding and application of engineering design principles and standards.
• Professional registration or licensure in engineering or actively pursuing it.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
