AI Engineer

The JAAW Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking an AI Engineer to support the War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration effort in support of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). This role will support the design, development, integration, deployment, and operation of artificial intelligence capabilities within secure Department of Defense environments. The AI Engineer will collaborate with machine learning, data, software, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities., * Design, build, and maintain AI/ML lifecycle services and reusable components.

• Develop infrastructure supporting the training, validation, deployment, and operation of AI/ML models.
• Support model-serving platforms and efficient model inference.
• Design and implement automated AI/ML pipelines.
• Develop capabilities for model monitoring, explainability, and interpretability.
• Implement MLOps practices supporting continuous integration and deployment of models.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines support AI/ML requirements.
• Develop testing frameworks and maintain technical documentation for AI/ML capabilities.

• Active Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing, integrating, or supporting AI/ML systems.
• Experience with AI/ML development tools, frameworks, or platforms.
• Understanding of model development, deployment, inference, testing, and monitoring.
• Strong programming, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia., * Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government environments.
• Experience with MLOps and automated model deployment pipelines.
• Experience with model-serving or inference capabilities.
• Experience with model monitoring, explainability, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise software or data platforms.
