IT Platform Engineer - Python

• Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.
• Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.
• Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.
• Be a productive member of the team., * Build and maintain solutions using SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, asyncio, and pytest.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployment processes.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization and orchestration.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and support applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps.
• Work with Kafka and support application integration and messaging requirements.
• Use PowerShell and Bash for scripting and automation.
• Apply coding standards, best practices, code reviews, and automated testing to maintain high code quality.
• Design solutions with high availability, scalability, and reliability requirements in mind.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to technical discussions, share expertise, and support continuous improvement across the team.

• Experienced IT Platform Engineer / Application Programmer to join the Data Access Layer team.
• Strong expertise in Python and experience across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development to testing and automated deployment.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy reliable and scalable applications using modern software engineering practices., * Proven experience as an IT Platform Engineer or Application Programmer with strong Python expertise.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, asyncio, and pytest.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and CI/CD principles.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Kafka and application integration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Good understanding of application infrastructure and solution design.
• Experience working with Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Experience developing and supporting applications with high availability requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams.
• Strong team-player mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
