Job description

Decommission and remove server and storage hardware
Rack, derack and safely handle data centre equipment
Trace and disconnect Ethernet, fibre, SAN and power connectivity
Securely handle HDDs, SSDs and other data-bearing media
Maintain hardware, asset and CMDB records
Follow formal change-control and security procedures
Identify dependencies and escalate issues appropriately

Requirements

Strong hands-on data centre experience
Server/storage installation and decommissioning
Rack and stack / deracking
SAN, Ethernet and fibre connectivity
Hardware asset management / CMDB
Experience working within controlled technical environments
Current SC security clearance
