Job description
InGenesis is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to support our client by processing and managing charitable donations. This role is responsible for ensuring gifts are accurately recorded, reconciled, and maintained while providing excellent customer service to donors and internal stakeholders., Gift Processing
- Process and record charitable donations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support gift processing activities, including annual fund, credit card, matching gift, event, and peer-to-peer donations.
- Assist with special projects, testing activities, reporting, and daily deposit management.
- Reconcile donations and deposits by researching discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve donation-related inquiries and processing issues.
Data Management
- Enter, update, and maintain gift and donor information in multiple systems.
- Research and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze information and apply established guidelines to determine appropriate solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Teams, and OneDrive, to manage and track data.
Customer Service
- Respond to email, case, and donor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Escalate requests to the appropriate team members when needed.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and customer-focused approach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
- At least 1 year of clerical, administrative, office support, or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in philanthropy, fundraising, institutional advancement, gift processing, or donor services.
