Cash Application Specialist

• Post daily payments from checks, ACH, wire transfers, and lockboxes into the ERP system
• Reconcile payments received from Vendor Management Systems with invoices generated within JSG’s sales module (may require use of name & date combinations, other unique identifiers, etc.)
• Process cash application, write-off, or adjustment requests as they are approved & submitted by the Client Analysts
• Investigate short payments, overpayments, unapplied cash, and missing remittance details
• Work with individuals inside & outside of the Company to obtain proper remittance advices and resolve potential payment errors
• Prepare cash application reports and file necessary supporting documentation to support client, financial, or bank audit procedures

Johnson Service Group is looking for a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our team. You’ll manage daily payment processing, reconcile client payments, research discrepancies, and partner with internal teams and clients to resolve payment issues. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, adaptable, and comfortable working with Excel and financial data., * 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, or finance

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
• High attention to detail
• Strong 10-key data entry skills
• Adaptability (Clients, existing procedures, and documentation can change due to adjustments in client contacts, systems, etc.)
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking & problem-solving skills
