Head of Projects - Data Centres

The Head of Projects leads the safe, compliant and commercially successful delivery of capital asset upgrade, refurbishment and replacement projects across the DACH region, much of it within live, 24/7 data centre and critical environments. Working closely with the facilities management organisation as an internal client, the Head of Projects owns the regional P&L, grows the project pipeline, and acts as the recognised face of the project team in Germany., * Lead multi-discipline delivery of modernisation, refurbishment, asset replacement and upgrade projects across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and ICT infrastructure

• Deliver complex projects safely, on time, to budget and to a high standard, including works in energised critical environments
• Own the regional projects P&L, including budgeting, forecasting and financial oversight
• Grow revenue by mining existing maintenance-contract opportunities and introducing new clients
• Build and maintain a strong network of clients, consultants and contractors
• Recruit, develop and scale a high-performing team of project professionals (one Project Manager currently in place)
• Identify and manage technical, commercial, statutory and health & safety risk on every project

• Minimum 10 years’ project delivery experience, including at least 4 years in a Senior Project Manager or team leadership role
• Proven data centre / critical environment project delivery experience (key requirement)
• Track record across modernisation, refurbishment, asset replacement and upgrade programmes spanning M&E, civil and ICT
• Strong asset management background covering upgrade and replacement programmes
• Demonstrated people leadership, with budget and P&L responsibility
• Solid financial acumen and project financial oversight
• Established network of clients, consultants and contractors
• Formal project management qualification (PMI, APM, relevant degree or equivalent)
• Good German and English
• Comfortable working close to the operational side of the business, treating the FM team as a collaborative internal client
