Staff Systems Engineer

• Interface with Program Managers, SPO Customers, and Operational/Maintenance stakeholders on solution development
• Coordinate with Avionics and Vehicle engineering teams on system design and aircraft layout concepts.
• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Identify issues with technical approaches and collaborate with all stakeholders in solution development.
• Provide on-site engineering representation at Whiteman Air Force Base.
• Provide product support and maintainability analysis and forward planning technical solutions.
• Document key requirements, interface control documents, and technical reports.
• Ensure implementation of requirements aligns with operational and maintenance stakeholder intent.

• Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience.
• Experience with avionics systems integration.
• Experience with USAF customer and platforms (aircraft).
• Experience with HW/SW integration testing.
• Must have the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs., * Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation.
• Active Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

• Experience with avionics integration on the B-2 platform.

• Experience with software development.

• Experience with cryptographic systems.
• Experience in Weapons Certification.
• Experience working with industry partners/suppliers.
• Experience with ground support systems.
• Experience with the full lifecycle of aircraft development, build, and operations.
• Experience leading technical teams (technicians or engineers).

Primary Level Salary Range: $144,900.00 - $217,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
