Telecoms & Network Architect (Utilities)

On behalf of PwC, we are looking for a Telecoms & Network Architect (Utilities) for a 12 Months contract based remotely (UK ad-hoc Travels to London).

As Telecoms & Network Architect you will support a major network transformation and separation programme across a large utility estate.

This is a highly technical opportunity if you have a strong background in telecommunications, network architecture and critical infrastructure environments. You will act as a key technical lead, working alongside the Lead Solution Architect to support the delivery of complex telecoms and network workstreams, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient and operationally effective.

What you’ll do:

• Provide telecoms and network architecture expertise to support network transformation, migration and separation activities.
• Produce, review and assure network designs, ensuring solutions meet operational, security and resilience requirements.
• Support site-level delivery activities, resolving technical issues related to connectivity, infrastructure readiness and service transitions.
• Coordinate with telecom providers, engineering teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and cutover activities.
• Conduct impact assessments, identify technical dependencies and mitigate risks across multiple workstreams.
• Act as a technical advisor to Project Managers, Architects and stakeholders, supporting governance, assurance and decision-making.

• Strong telecommunications and network architecture experience within utilities, critical infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
• Expertise in carrier-grade networking technologies including IP/MPLS, SDH/PDH, fibre networks, WAN and VoIP services.
• Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) and SCADA communications environments.
• Knowledge of network security principles, including segmentation, Firewalls, secure remote access and resilient network design.
• Proven experience delivering network migrations, infrastructure transformation programmes, or separation/carve-out initiatives.
• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
