Test Engineer

Gridiron IT is seeking a Test Engineer to support a federal program on a remote basis., Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications. Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner. Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies. Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets functional, performance, and quality standards. Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide detailed reports on test coverage, issues, and overall quality. Serve as a subject matter specialist providing testing expertise for complex to highly complex software/hardware applications. Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with an emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection. Design, plan, create, execute, and provide SOS test reports. Review government test plans and test reports for technical competence, effectiveness, and compliance with standards. Observe and evaluate the execution of customer acceptance test activities. Perform integration activities involving developed application software. Identify and document problems and issues, providing specific guidance on root-cause and remediation. Analyze the requirements for each test event and assist in the scheduling of the SOS non-operational environments test assets. Support and assist in the execution of FBI-conducted security certification testing of SOS systems and components. Support the presentation and formal review or audit of test results, providing briefing and decision support material. Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior test engineers and other team members. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure software quality from the early stages of development. Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards for software testing and quality assurance. Stay current with new testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.

• Bachelors required Minimum 3 Years experience

Salary Range: $70,000 - 90,000K (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
