Azure Staff Cloud System Engineer

Seeking an experienced Azure Staff Cloud Systems Engineer to help architect, implement, and support enterprise Azure solutions. This individual will partner with product, DevOps, and data teams to drive cloud adoption, build scalable infrastructure, and support strategic technology initiatives across a large enterprise environment.

This is a highly visible opportunity to influence cloud strategy, work on enterprise-scale solutions, and help shape the next phase of cloud growth, including support for emerging AI initiatives and customer-facing platforms.

Skills and Requirements

Major Responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design Azure solutions to meet their needs.

Collaborate with DevOps teams on application architecture and deployment strategies.

Partner with enterprise cloud teams to align with established standards and operational procedures.

Architect, implement, and maintain Azure solutions following industry best practices.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of cloud initiatives.

Create technical design documentation, test plans, and deployment plans.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvements within Azure environments.

Stay current with Azure technologies, cloud trends, and industry best practices.

Provide thought leadership and recommendations related to Azure strategy, architecture, and governance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure solutions in enterprise environments.

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Bicep. Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, and/or Azure CLI is also valuable.

Experience designing and implementing Azure-based solutions for scalable applications and data platforms.

Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity management.

Familiarity with networking and architecture concepts such as Hub-and-Spoke topology and Azure Landing Zones.

Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and source control.

Experience integrating observability and monitoring solutions such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, or similar tools.

Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, or equivalent) preferred. Preferred Experience

Enterprise-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.

Multi-cloud exposure (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).

Supporting cloud infrastructure for data, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

Developing cloud governance, security, and operational best practices.
