MuleSoft Integration Architect

We are hiring a Mulesoft Integration Architect - to support a Healthcare project with one of our consulting clients, * Design, build, and deploy HL7, API, event-driven, batch, and file-based integrations using API-led connectivity and reusable assets.

• Lead the technical onboarding of new health system and clinical partners, including connectivity, interface specifications, data mapping, partner testing, and production readiness.
• Turn partner onboarding into a repeatable framework rather than a series of custom implementations.
• Own delivery from discovery through deployment and hypercare, using automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and controlled releases.

Operate

• Establish monitoring, alerting, and source-to-target reconciliation across critical data feeds.
• Diagnose production issues, coordinate record recovery or reprocessing, and confirm that corrective actions have been validated.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, data mappings, support runbooks, and operating procedures to defined standards so the environment can be supported by more than one person.
• Participate in escalation for critical production incidents during defined support windows.

Optimize

• Assess existing integrations for architecture, performance, security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement permanent improvements.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability of records from source systems through MuleSoft to Salesforce.
• Identify opportunities to simplify the integration landscape and increase reuse across clients and partners.

Advisory

• Provide integration architecture, estimates, and delivery assumptions for new client pursuits, including proposals and RFP responses across our Salesforce and integration work.
• Contribute enterprise architecture guidance to adjacent healthcare and Salesforce engagements where systems, data, and integrations intersect.
• Communicate status, business impact, risks, and completion dates clearly to clients and executives.
• Review designs and code, mentor developers, and establish integration standards for the practice.

• 8+ years designing, building, and supporting enterprise integrations, including 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development using Mule 4, DataWeave, and Anypoint Platform, with responsibility for production systems.
• 3+ years as a technical architect or integration lead with end-to-end responsibility for architecture, delivery, deployment, and production support.
• 3+ years building and supporting production HL7 v2 interfaces, including ADT, ORU, and VXU messages, segment-level mapping, acknowledgments, and MLLP or equivalent transport.
• MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect, current as of the hire date.
• Experience assessing and improving existing MuleSoft applications, not only building new ones.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with clinical or enterprise systems.
• Experience handling PHI in HIPAA-controlled environments.
• Experience implementing production monitoring, reconciliation, and record-recovery processes.
• Experience with automated testing, including MUnit or equivalent practices, source control, CI/CD, and controlled production releases.
• Working knowledge of integration security, including OAuth, TLS/mTLS, API policies, and secrets management.
• A demonstrated ability to lead client discovery, architecture decisions, effort estimation, technical reviews, and executive communication., * FHIR and modern healthcare interoperability standards.
• Salesforce Health Cloud or Data Cloud.
• MEDITECH, PointClickCare, Epic, Cerner, or similar healthcare platforms.
• HEDIS, clinical quality reporting, or healthcare data reconciliation.
• Agentic integration, including Agentforce, Model Context Protocol, MuleSoft Vibes, or AI-assisted development and documentation.
