Software Engineer - Crypto

Blockchain under the hood, users will post collateral on our systems and we’ll extend USDC collateral on venues of their choice. We will bring the venues to the user, as opposed to the user having to go to other venues. Users will be able to post various forms of collateral and eventually be able to trade on Hyperliquid without needing to sell down collateral.

Join our Infrastructure & Platform team to shape scalable high performance systems and services. You will design and operate core components such as compute, storage and networking while working closely with the product team to deliver exceptional user experiences.

What you’ll do

• *Develop scripts and services that deliver speed and reliability in demanding, real-time environments.
• *Deploy and manage compute resources and containers for custom services and integrations.
• *Automate scaling, load balancing and congestion control across compute and database layers.
• *Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, rollback and continuous delivery.
• *Monitor system performance across CPU, memory, I/O and network, tune configurations for maximum throughput and resiliency.
• *Build indexing and explorer services to enable live, fast and expressive data channels.
• *Provision and optimize database systems for time series, relational SQL, key-value and in memory workloads.

• *3+ years building production-grade infrastructure in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Strong scripting skills in Rust and other low-level languages.
• *Deep expertise managing compute instances directly (e.g. EC2 VMs) and/or container orchestrations (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• *Solid networking fundamentals: VPCs, subnets, load balancers, NAT, VPN, and network security.
• *Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
• *Proven track record with time-series databases (e.g. TimescaleDB, InfluxDB) and key value stores (e.g. DynamoDB, Redis).
• *Experience profiling and optimizing low-level system performance under high load.
• *Authorized to work in the United States.

Multi Asset Margin for Hyperliquid. Giving users the ability to post variable forms of collateral, instead of selling collateral for USDC and depositing to Hyperliquid. Multi asset margin comprises of over 86% of accounts in Crypto.
