Job description

Design, develop, and integrate cloud software solutions for distributed systems and large-scale compute clusters.
Support full-lifecycle agile software development, testing, optimization, and sustainment for complex technical products.
Implement infrastructure as code, containerized microservices, and big data integrations to ensure system scalability., * Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting for high-performance distributed architectures.
Develop resilient software solutions in Java, Python, and C/C++ within UNIX/Linux environments, focusing on networking and multi-threading.
Build and deploy containerized microservices using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Automate deployments and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code tools including Ansible and Puppet.
Leverage CI/CD pipelines, source code management tools, and Agile practices to deliver reliable software enhancements.
Interface with distributed data stores and messaging systems, including Hadoop, Accumulo, NiFi, MongoDB, and ActiveMQ.
Conduct code reviews, establish SOPs, maintain technical documentation, and participate in rotating Tier III on-call and emergency surge support.

Telework: This position is primarily performed on-site, with ad-hoc telework opportunities available for qualified team members on select tasks and research projects.
