MANAGER, SR PROJECT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex projects using PMI and performance improvement principles. Manages all aspects of a project ensuring it is done well, on time and within budget. Provides the structure and tools to standardize how projects are documented, managed and communicated. Mentors staff that coordinate various information technology projects. Makes decisions on what should take priority and manages the overall budgets and resources for projects. Accountable for the success of system implementations, upgrades, process improvements, and overall benefit realization. Assists in developing policies and procedures as it relates to information systems and services. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projects. Prepare reports regarding the status of projects and make recommendations to management. May function as Project Management Office (PMO) Project Manager to define and maintain standards and best practice for project management within the organization. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, information technology, business or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP). Four+ years of hospital information systems and/or project management experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in healthcare management, information technology, business or closely related field. Project Management (PMI) and/or Scrum Master.

Salary range:$140,000. - $175,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
