This hybrid direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to establish enterprise data governance practices, improve data quality and accountability, and build the foundation for responsible, scalable data management across mission-critical business and technology platforms., * Develop and maintain enterprise data governance architecture, policies, standards, stewardship frameworks, metadata strategies, and data lifecycle management practices.
• Design and implement governance models that improve data discoverability, quality, consistency, ownership, and accountability across the organization.
• Lead initiatives related to data catalogs, business glossaries, metadata management, lineage tracking, stewardship workflows, and data quality frameworks.
• Assess current-state data environments, identify governance gaps, and develop practical roadmaps for improving governance maturity.
• Define data classification, retention, privacy, access control, and quality standards in partnership with cybersecurity and compliance teams.
• Support the implementation and configuration of data catalog and metadata management platforms.
• Design integration approaches for metadata ingestion, lineage capture, stewardship processes, and source system connectivity.
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics teams, business stakeholders, platform engineers, and governance committees to align governance initiatives with business objectives.
• Establish governance operating procedures, standards, decision frameworks, and adoption programs.
• Promote enterprise-wide best practices related to data stewardship, quality management, metadata management, and responsible data usage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data governance, data management, information management, or related disciplines.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
• Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, business glossaries, data lineage, stewardship programs, and data quality initiatives.
• Experience evaluating and improving governance maturity across large organizations.
• Knowledge of data classification, privacy, retention, access management, and information lifecycle management practices.
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to define governance standards and accountability structures.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data management best practices, and enterprise information governance.
• Experience developing governance roadmaps, operating procedures, standards, and supporting documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with data catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Atlan, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, privacy, records management, or governance initiatives.
• Familiarity with federal data strategy, evidence-based decision making, records management, privacy, or compliance requirements is preferred.
• DAMA, CDMP, DCAM, cloud data, or data governance certifications are highly desirable.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

The base salary range for this direct-hire position is $155,000 -$200,000 annually, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined by experience, certifications, location, and other job-related factors.
