Workday Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Workday Finance Integration Engineer to support a global technology organization with the implementation and expansion of its Workday Financials platform across multiple international entities. This is a highly hands-on technical role for someone who can independently take integration requirements from Finance and Accounting stakeholders and translate them into scalable Workday solutions. You will own integrations throughout the full lifecycle-from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support. The team is lean, highly collaborative, and currently works fully onsite in Palo Alto. Due to the complexity of the implementation and the importance of real-time collaboration and problem-solving, this position will also be onsite five days per week. What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex Workday Financials integrations.
• Build integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services/APIs, XML, and XSLT.
• Partner directly with Finance, Accounting, IT, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into integration solutions.
• Develop and support integrations involving financial data such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, supplier payments, banking, trial balances, aging, and other financial transactions.
• Create and maintain custom Workday Financials reports, calculated fields, and data extracts supporting integrations and business requirements.
• Manage integration security, including appropriate access and security configurations.
• Support data conversion and data-loading activities using Workday integration tools, including EIBs.
• Integrate Workday Financials with third-party financial systems, banking platforms, APIs, and other enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and support testing, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established integration patterns while identifying opportunities for improvements. Work independently in a lean environment while collaborating closely with functional leads, architects, Finance, Accounting, and other technical teams. *

Candidates should be able to take an integration from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support, with minimal guidance., * Approximately 5+ years of Workday integration experience, ideally with substantial Workday Financials exposure.

• Strong understanding of the Workday Financials data model, including areas such as GL, AP, AR, supplier accounts/payments, and banking.
• Experience with Workday security as it relates to integrations and data access.
• Experience developing custom reports, calculated fields, and integration-related reporting.
• Experience integrating Workday with third-party applications and external systems.
• Familiarity with Cloud Connect/Connectors is beneficial.
• Experience with Prism Analytics or Accounting Center is helpful but not required.
• Experience supporting global organizations, multiple legal entities, countries, or currencies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with both technical and functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
