Job description
We are seeking a Media Production IT Support Analyst to provide day-to-day technical support for specialist computer cluster rooms and media production spaces at UCL East. Working as part of a small local IT team, you will support Windows and macOS devices, software, hardware, studio equipment and related services used for activities such as film, animation, sound design, game design and architectural design. The role will involve responding to user enquiries, troubleshooting incidents, supporting upgrades and deployments, maintaining equipment inventories, and helping to create clear support documentation. You will work closely with technical, academic and professional services colleagues, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
Requirements
You will have an appropriate computer qualification or equivalent experience, with familiarity supporting Windows and/or macOS systems in a service environment. You will be comfortable following troubleshooting processes, resolving straightforward issues, and knowing when to escalate more complex problems. We are looking for someone with a helpful, professional and customer-focused approach, good problem-solving skills, and an interest in supporting creative and media production environments. Experience or interest in areas such as sound recording, film, VR, motion capture, game design, theatre lighting or digital cinema would be welcome.
