Systems Consultant

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Systems Consultant with Acturis experience to work within an insurance broking environment, providing Acturis system support, user support, training, onboarding and systems consultancy to brokers and internal users.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Acturis broking application, insurance broking systems and associated business processes, combined with excellent customer service and communication skills.

About the Systems Consultant Role

The primary responsibility of the Systems Consultant is to support the day-to-day running and effective use of systems across the Group, ensuring brokers receive a high standard of technical and operational support.

Working as part of the Systems Team, the IT Systems Consultant will provide internal helpdesk support, telephone and email assistance, user guidance and on-site broker support.

A key part of the role will be using your knowledge of Acturis insurance broking software, internal procedures and business applications to help users resolve system queries and maximise the effectiveness of their systems., * Develop and maintain a high level of Acturis business application and product knowledge.

• Provide user support on Acturis system functionality, processes and procedures.
• Support the Systems Team with the management of the internal IT and systems helpdesk.
• Provide telephone and email support to customers and brokers regarding Acturis system functionality.
• Visit brokers who require more comprehensive Acturis support and systems assistance.
• Investigate and resolve system-related queries and provide appropriate guidance to users.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of support tickets through the helpdesk application., * Monitor and implement continuous improvements to systems and processes.
• Support the Head of Systems with projects designed to improve Acturis processes and insurance broking workflows.
• Monitor applications outside of Acturis that require maintenance or support, including other CRM systems used by brokers.
• Develop a strong understanding of business applications and their use within an insurance broking environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, processes and user experience.

Acturis Training & User Support

• Develop and maintain Acturis training, learning and user support materials.
• Analyse user training requirements following new software releases and procedural changes.
• Provide support and guidance to users when new functionality or system processes are introduced.
• Help brokers and internal users understand system functionality and follow appropriate procedures.
• Provide on-site support and training where required.

Acturis Onboarding & Implementation

The Systems Consultant will have ownership of the Acturis onboarding process, including:

• Managing onboarding requirements for new Acturis builds.
• Ensuring basic client population automations are completed correctly.
• Ensuring specific broker system requirements are implemented where available.
• Supporting new starters with relevant systems and access requirements.
• Completing associated systems administration and onboarding activities.
• Working with internal stakeholders to ensure systems are ready for new users and brokers.

• A minimum of 3 years’ Acturis experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Acturis insurance broking application.
• Experience providing Acturis system support to users or insurance brokers.
• Strong computer literacy and experience using Microsoft products.
• Previous experience within Customer Services or a customer-facing support environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong understanding of business systems, processes and user requirements.
• The ability to troubleshoot system queries and explain technical processes clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple support requirements.
• A proactive approach to systems improvement and customer service.

Experience in Insurance Systems & Broking Technology

Experience within insurance broking, insurance technology, business applications or broker systems would be highly relevant to this role.

Candidates with experience in Acturis support, Acturis administration, insurance systems support, broking systems, CRM systems, business applications or IT systems consultancy may be particularly suited to the position.
