Forward Deployed Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading investment firm that is transforming how investment teams leverage data, AI, and technology. We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to sit at the intersection of engineering, data science, and investing, building production-grade solutions that directly influence investment outcomes.

You’ll work closely with portfolio managers, researchers, traders, and data scientists to identify opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions, and deploy scalable technology that creates a tangible edge for investment teams.

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with investment professionals to solve complex business and research challenges.
• Design and build production-ready applications, workflows, and AI-powered tools.
• Transform ideas and prototypes into scalable systems used by front-office teams.
• Work across data engineering, software engineering, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and emerging technologies.
• Translate technical concepts into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong software engineering experience with modern development frameworks.
• Experience building production-grade systems and end-user applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias for action.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and rapidly deliver solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, data pipelines, APIs, and AI/ML tooling.
• Strong communication skills and commercial mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services, quantitative research, trading, or investment management.
• Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, NLP, or advanced analytics.
• Experience working in highly data-driven environments.
