AI and Mission Data Pipelines Engineer

Mission data is only as useful as the pipelines that make it available. As an Oracle AI Data Pipeline Engineer, you’ll help connect disparate data sources, preserve important context and quality, and deliver t rus ted data for applications, analysts, and AI-enabled workflows.

In this role, you’ll work across data engineering, geospatial data, cloud technologies, databases, and AI. You’ll help move data from source to insight by building resilient pipelines, adaptable source readers, met adata-enrichment capabilities, event-driven processing, cataloging workflows, and secure ingestion services.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers, database spe cia lists, AI developers, cloud architects, security professionals, and mission stakeholders to solve complex data challenges and build capabilities that are reliable, scalable, and ready for operational use. What You’ll Work On:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines that integrate files, APIs, services, databases, and other mission data sources.
• Develop workflows for data extraction, normalization, enrichment, validation, cataloging, routing, and ingestion.
• Build flexible source readers that adapt to evolving data formats, schemas, met adata structures, APIs, and services.
• Develop met adata-enrichment capabilities that capture provenance, lineage, security attributes, quality indicators, and mission context.
• Design event-driven pipelines that coordinate processing and cataloging across multiple data types and sources.
• Develop pipeline capabilities for geospatial intelligence data, including raster and vector data, while preserving spatial met adata, coordinate-system information, quality indicators, and access controls.
• Apply AI, RAG, MCP, and agentic capabilities to improve data extraction, enrichment, classification, cataloging, discovery, and user access.
• Develop Node.js applications, dashboards, and service integrations connected to Oracle Database.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, sof tware engineering, or cloud architecture
• Experience designing and building resilient, scalable data pipelines that integrate multiple disparate data sources
• Experience developing adaptable source readers and met adata-enrichment capabilities addressing provenance, lineage, security attributes, data quality, and mission context
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven or workflow-based data pipelines
• Experience working with geospatial intelligence data, including raster and vector formats, while preserving spatial met adata and coordinate-system information
• Experience applying AI or machine learning capabilities to data extraction, enrichment, classification, cataloging, discovery, or user access, including RAG or MCP
• Experience developing Node.js applications, dashboards, and service integrations connected to Oracle Database
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Oracle AI Database 26ai, Oracle Exadata, or OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata
• Experience enabling AI use cases with Oracle vector data types, RAG, and MCP
• Experience designing multi-model Oracle Database solutions using relational, spatial, JSON, including JSON Relational Duality, and graph data types
• Experience with data catalogs, workflow orchestration, event streaming, data quality platforms, and lineage tools
• Experience migrating systems or data pipelines from AWS or on-premises environments into OCI
• Experience with Authority to Operate processes, security documentation, or compliance requirements
• Knowledge of OCI and secure cloud-native data pipeline deployment patterns
• Possession of strong communication and collaboration skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
