Information System Security Officer

This position plays a key role in the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture, cyber engineering artifacts, cybersecurity performance metrics, RMF authorization packages, and enclave-level cyber strategies supporting system certification requirements., * The specialist ensures the protection, resilience, and compliance of combat systems, networks, and information systems in accordance with DoW, cybersecurity policies, standards, and processes.

• Support full acquisition lifecycle activities, including systems under development, systems in production, and fielded systems undergoing upgrades.
• Provide engineering expertise, risk and vulnerability assessments, STIG execution, cybersecurity test strategy support, and technical leadership in virtualized cyber test environments supporting Integrated Combat Systems (ICS).

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Information assurance IA/Cyber Security or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security Testing methods and processes.
• Cyber defense policy, processes and assessments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Candidate Differentiators:

• Deep knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Experience achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
• Strong understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• A proactive approach to identifying security risks before they become a compliance issue.
• Success coordinating with ISSMs, system administrators, etc.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity requirements into practical guidance for system owners and users.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.
• Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• Degree may be substituted for 10+ years of information assurance or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
