Cloud Software Engineer

• At least 2 years of experience in software development/engineering or related technical experience.\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field may be substituted for 2 years of experience.\n
• Acceptable technical fields include Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.\n
• Experience developing software using Java, either academically or professionally.\n
• Experience using Git or GitLab.\n
• A cloud certification is required and will be verified during the interview or offer process.\n

As a Cloud Software Engineer at CyberPoint, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of cloud-based applications supporting mission-critical national security operations. • Develop, enhance, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications supporting mission-critical systems.\n
• Develop software using Java and other modern programming languages and frameworks.\n
• Participate in the full Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.\n
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud engineers, system administrators, and other technical teams to develop reliable and scalable solutions.\n
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and work with JSON-based data.\n
• Use Git or GitLab for source code management and collaborative software development.\n
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software development and deployment processes.\n
• Develop and support applications within cloud and containerized environments.\n
• Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, performance improvements, and resolution of software issues.\n
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.\n
• Support the integration of commercial and open-source technologies into mission applications.\n
• Document software designs, development activities, and technical processes.\n
• Continue developing technical skills in cloud computing, DevOps, containerization, and modern software engineering practices.\n
