Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator

Metronome is seeking an Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator to support AWS cloud administration, systems operations, security, and infrastructure modernization within a mission-critical DoD environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure and workloads, supporting Microsoft and Linux environments, and maintaining systems in accordance with DoD security and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and develop cloud infrastructure requirements and technical documentation.
• Build and support functional models, architectures, and operational solutions.
• Deploy, manage, and operate AWS workloads using both the AWS Management Console and AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Implement security controls and maintain compliance with applicable DoD security requirements.
• Perform infrastructure maintenance, including patching, system upgrades, and STIG compliance.
• Support Kubernetes-based environments, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Develop procedures and support technical and program management functions.
• Apply knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS networking, and cloud security services.
• Administer AWS technologies and services including EKS, Lambda, networking, security services, and other cloud-native tools.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Systems Administration.
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and workloads.
• Experience performing patch management, system upgrades, and maintaining STIG compliance.
• Knowledge of AWS networking, security services, and cloud infrastructure operations.

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Experience supporting Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
• Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) certification and/or relevant Kubernetes training is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience.
