Cybersecurity Information Security Analyst

GovCIO LLC seeks a Senior Cyber Security Administrator to secure mission-critical federal IT systems. In this role, you will administer and harden security tools, monitor and investigate security events, and lead incident response to protect complex, multi-cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll implement security baselines, support NIST/FISMA compliance, manage identity and access controls, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities. Working in a mission-driven, collaborative culture, you’ll mentor others, influence security architecture, and help modernize government technology at scale., * Administer and harden security tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection across federal environments.

• Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and coordinate response and remediation.
• Implement and maintain security baselines, configurations, and patch management processes.
• Support compliance with federal security standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) and internal policies.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and drive remediation with engineering teams.
• Manage identity and access controls, including privileged account management and MFA.
• Develop and update security documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Dev, Cloud, and Network teams to embed security into system designs.
• Support security audits, assessments, and ATO-related activities for federal systems.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations.
