Junior Systems & Capability Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Junior Systems Engineer to support of the Report Authoring and Dissemination (RAD) team. In this collaborative role, you will assist with overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system. You will work directly at the intersection of customer needs and technical execution-partnering with systems engineers, software developers, and UX teams to ensure mission-driven capabilities are accurately defined, built, tested, and delivered.

Agile Systems Engineering: Hands-on experience participating in Agile delivery workflows across the full software development lifecycle. Requirements & Solution Definition: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, UX designers, and software engineers to accurately capture, refine, and translate user needs into technical solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage tactically with development teams and maintain close relationships with customers and end-users. Testing & Delivery Support: Exposure to testing, validating, and ensuring high-quality software solution delivery against customer requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional software engineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 11+ years of hands-on technical software development experience in lieu of a degree. , Desired Skills

Report Authoring & Dissemination (RAD): Familiarity with intelligence reporting, authoring systems, or dissemination frameworks. Agile Tooling: Hands-on familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar issue-tracking and workflow platforms. UX/UI Interaction: Basic understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and human-centered software engineering.

The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000-$160,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
