Job description

We are looking for a Data Governance & Compliance Officer to help shape and strengthen enterprise-wide data governance and compliance practices within a complex, regulated environment. This role sits at the intersection of Business, IT, Risk, Security, Legal and Privacy teams, ensuring data is managed effectively, securely and in line with regulatory requirements, * Drive the data governance roadmap and framework.

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, Data Act and other regulations.
  • Improve data quality, metadata and lifecycle management.
  • Lead governance initiatives, training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor governance maturity, KPIs and adoption.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Management or IT Governance.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working across business and IT teams.
  • Familiarity with data quality and governance tools.
  • Fluent English plus Dutch or French.
