We’re looking for a Head of AWS Technology to join our team in the UK in a hybrid working mode. This is a senior leadership role that combines technical depth, architectural authority, and commercial responsibility to shape and grow EPAM’s AWS practice. You will set the vision, lead solution design and be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by ensuring the delivery of high-quality, well-architected solutions.Acting as a key technical partner with AWS, you will drive adoption of AI and GenAI services, establish engineering excellence and mentor a team of senior architects. This role requires a hands-on understanding of AWS architectures and the ability to influence technology strategy across multiple clients and sectors.ResponsibilitiesSet the technical vision, architecture standards and engineering practices for the AWS practiceLead adoption of AI and GenAI capabilities on AWS, including Bedrock, SageMaker and RAG patternsProvide hands-on technical oversight on complex engagements and ensure quality deliveryEstablish and nurture the AWS partnership through competencies, programs and joint go-to-market initiativesBuild, mentor and lead a high-performing team of AWS architects and engineersDrive pre-sales and solution design for major AWS opportunitiesCreate thought leadership, reusable assets and propositions that differentiate EPAM in the cloud marketEnsure alignment between architectural solutions, security standards and client business goalsRequirementsExtensive AWS architecture experience with credibility to guide design decisions (10+ years in technology)Current expertise in AI and GenAI services on AWS and their application to client solutionsProven leadership in building and managing senior technical teamsTrack record of shaping, estimating and winning cloud engagements in pre-sales environmentsCommercial acumen with familiarity of consulting operating models and P&L impactExperience working with AWS partner programs and competency frameworksAWS Professional certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional), with Specialty certifications desirableExcellent communication skills for engaging engineers, senior clients and AWS partner teamsNice to haveExperience in consulting or systems integration environmentsMulti-cloud exposure (Azure, GCP) and ability to position AWS in hybrid estatesSector experience in financial services, life sciences, retail or public sectorWe offerEPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Protection benefits including life assurance, income protection and critical illness coverPrivate medical insurance and dental careEmployee Assistance ProgramCompetitive group pension planCyclescheme, Techscheme and season ticket loansVarious perks such as free Wednesday lunch in-office, on-site massages and regular social eventsLearning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and coursesIf otherwise eligible, participation in the discretionary annual bonus programIf otherwise eligible and hired into a qualifying level, participation in the discretionary Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program #J-18808-Ljbffr
