Senior Systems and Network Engineer

Our client seeks a senior systems and network engineer to perform advanced installation, operations, integration, and support of complex IT systems and networks. This role involves managing and maintaining critical infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions., * Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures and systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple platforms and environments
• Ensure system security through vulnerability assessments, patching, and compliance with standards
• Manage system performance, capacity planning, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and other IT professionals
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems and network engineering
• Proven experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities, * Certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of security tools and best practices
• Experience in a government or defense contracting environment

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance may be required for certain tasks.
