Junior System Administrator

• Provision, install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices
• Manage user accounts and access controls
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Support remote users and manage telecommuting tools
• Assist with security assessments and vulnerability scans
• Document system configurations and procedures
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects

On-site in Norfolk, VA Our client seeks a mission-oriented junior System Administrator with 1-3 years of experience to provision, install, configure, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and security best practices., * 1-3 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with networking protocols and devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, * Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• Experience with virtualized environments (VMware or Hyper-V)

Clearance Requirements: Active Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance may be required for certain tasks.
