Job description

Intuit is looking for a highly experienced Back End Engineer III with 10+ years of hands-on software development experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Go, SQL, AWS/Google Cloud Platform, distributed systems, scalable backend architecture, and AI technologies. This is a highly hands-on engineering role requiring approximately 80-90% coding. Candidates should have recent experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale applications and distributed systems.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on software development * Strong Java/J2EE development * Experience with Go * Strong SQL and Object-Oriented Programming * AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform * AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS * Data Structures and Algorithms * Distributed Systems * Scalable and high-volume applications * Object-Oriented Design (OOD) * SOA and modern architecture * REST APIs and Web Services * gRPC * Backend architecture and technical design * Docker and Kubernetes

AI / Machine Learning Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of: * Large Language Models (LLMs) * Prompt Engineering * Python * Dialogflow * AI/ML model integration * AI-powered development tools * Practical AI applications

Candidates should understand different AI model approaches, their advantages and limitations, and how to integrate AI/ML capabilities into backend systems or user-facing applications.
