SQL Server DBA

We are seeking a skilled SQL Server DBA to join a growing engineering team in Boca Raton. This is a hands-on opportunity for a database professional who enjoys managing complex database environments, optimizing performance, and partnering with developers to ensure reliable and scalable applications.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL Server administration experience, a passion for database performance tuning, and experience supporting both cloud and on-premises environments.

What You’ll Do

• Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and MongoDB database environments
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
• Perform SQL query optimization and work closely with development teams to improve application performance
• Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports, SSIS packages, and ETL processes
• Deploy and support databases across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Support database upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements
• Create and maintain database documentation, schema designs, and system configurations
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver database solutions
• Participate in on-call support, after-hours upgrades, and critical implementations as needed

• 4+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
• Strong experience with SQL Server performance tuning and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and ETL development
• Experience administering databases in both on-premises and cloud environments
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting MongoDB
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of database security best practices
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and modern database deployment processes
