ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Software Developer 2 will design, develop, test, and support business intelligence solutions, reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI, SQL Server, and Microsoft development tools. The role collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions, troubleshoot data and application issues, and help ensure project milestones are met. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience with Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, Visual Studio, scripting, data modeling, web technologies, and software development coordination, along with MCSD certification for Microsoft .NET. This full-time position is located in Portland, OR., * Collaborate with technical team members and customers in order to translate user requirements from both internal and external clients into functional capability. Confirm JLSR resources are available to provide representation to organizations within the company.

• Perform project technical requirements; design, development, and testing tasks for fixed and analytic reports.
• Develop static and dynamic reports from a three-tier client-server application that uses a web server, application server, and SQL database engine architecture.
• Write scripts and modify Microsoft Visual Studio methodology templates to provide customization of check-in policies, custom reports, and repetitive testing.
• Create and modify existing reports and dashboards using the Power BI Desktop tool.
• Troubleshoot and communicate report interoperability problems in existing web-driven applications using SQL as the backend for data access.
• Develop customer focused BI analytics solutions.
• Develop presentation layers in concert with customer requirements and best practices and approaches.
• Act as a point of contact and oversee technical schedule segments to ensure project milestones are completed on time by escalating issues to the team lead and project manager if necessary.
• Provide issue resolution in coordination with the team lead and project manager.

• Bachelor of Science in Information/Computer Technology or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 3 years of Information Technology experience is required with a Bachelor’s degree in a specified degree..
• 5 years of Information Technology experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree..
• Demonstrated experience with the following is required:
• Power BI Server and desktop tool
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2019, 2022 and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2022 or later
• SQL Reporting Services 2012, 2016, and 2022
• Scripting (VB scripting/Java Scripting, and Powershell)
• Report Design / Information/database Design Skills
• Microsoft Analysis Services 2008 - 2022
• Oracle Cloud infrastructure (EPM)
• Data Modeling/Dimensional Modeling/ER Diagrams
• Web design, content layout, ASP.NET
• HTML background
• SharePoint design experience
• SDS (System Design Specification)
• Software development coordination with clients and management
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft.NET certification.
