Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer

As a Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer, you will lead the transformation of a mission-critical enterprise platform from legacy ASP.NET architecture to modern .NET, Azure cloud services, API-driven solutions, and React-based user experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on application modernization, cloud adoption, technical leadership, and architectural innovation. This position is ideal for a senior developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving modernization initiatives, and owning solutions from concept through production deployment. You will work in a lean, high-impact environment where accountability, technical expertise, and independent decision-making are essential to success., Lead modernization efforts by transforming legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native solutions using modern .NET and Azure technologies. Design and implement secure, maintainable, and high-performing application architectures that reduce technical debt and improve long-term supportability. Develop and enhance API-first services, integrations, and enterprise application capabilities. Build cloud-native solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and related Azure technologies. Manage and optimize SQL Server platforms, including database design, performance tuning, data migration, and modernization activities. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes. Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, automation, and adherence to modern development standards. Develop and maintain React-based user interface components supporting modernization initiatives. Implement frontend solutions utilizing modern rendering approaches, component-based architectures, and contemporary web development practices. Integrate internal and third-party services while maintaining clear technical documentation for all integrations. Develop and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI. Participate in AI integration initiatives involving Copilot technologies, AI services, intelligent automation, and chatbot solutions. Provide production support, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve complex application issues. Maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, technical specifications, and user-facing documentation. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile development ceremonies.

8+ years of professional software development experience using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Microsoft .NET technologies. Proven hands-on experience migrating legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET platforms such as .NET 6, .NET 7, .NET 8, or later versions. Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications, APIs, and distributed systems. Extensive SQL Server expertise including stored procedures, T-SQL development, query optimization, schema migrations, and database performance tuning. Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, deployment pipelines, and application configuration management. Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern DevOps practices. Strong frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks. Knowledge of client-side rendering (CSR), server-side rendering (SSR), component-based architectures, and modern frontend development methodologies. Experience integrating enterprise applications with internal and third-party APIs and services. Experience building and maintaining reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI. Familiarity with AI-powered development tools, Copilot technologies, AI integrations, or intelligent automation solutions. 5+ years of experience delivering software within Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, Azure DevOps, or GitHub. Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native development, security best practices, and application modernization strategies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills. Ability to independently drive projects from requirements and design through deployment and operational support. The hourly range for roles of this nature are $55.00 to $80.00/hr.
