SAP S/4HANA Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Implementation Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives across our organization. This position is tailored for a seasoned professional with deep management consulting experience who is looking to transition into an internal industry role, taking true operational ownership of delivery from initial scoping through post-go-live stabilization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate progressive leadership through at least three full-lifecycle SAP implementations, reflecting career growth from functional module lead to integration manager and into broad program or project management. This role is located onsite in Reno, Nevada. This is not a hybrid or remote role., * Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of major SAP S/4HANA implementation and optimization programs. This includes establishing rigorous scope management, schedule baselines, project charters, resource allocations, and budget governance.

• Coordinate multiple technical and functional workstreams across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and analytics. You will ensure functional specifications, configuration settings, custom developments, and data structures remain synchronized throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Drive proactive alignment between executive business sponsors, operational process owners, internal IT teams, and external system implementation partners. You will facilitate decision-making forums and steering committee updates to maintain transparency and resolve roadblocks early.
• Direct critical delivery phases including requirements gathering, process blueprinting, solution design, conference room pilots, integration testing, and cutover simulation. You will be responsible for defining acceptance criteria and go-live readiness gates across the enterprise.
• Oversee data migration, legacy system decommissioning, third-party integration points, and overall testing strategy. This involves guiding teams through unit testing, end-to-end integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and system performance testing.
• Partner with organizational change management leads to execute comprehensive communication, training, and business readiness programs. You will ensure operational teams are fully prepared to adopt new digital processes with minimal business disruption during cutover and hypercare.

• Substantial prior experience working within a premier technology consulting firm or boutique SAP integration practice before moving into an in-house industry leadership role.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
• Formal SAP certifications in SAP S/4HANA implementation, SAP Activate project management methodology, or specific functional modules.
• Practical experience with Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks, including Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) credentials.
• Exposure to modern cloud platforms (such as RISE with SAP, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related cloud enterprise architectures

Education/Experience Required Experience & Skills

• Proven track record leading or co-leading complex SAP S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield implementations in large enterprise environments. Candidates must understand the nuances of migrating legacy ERP ecosystems to S/4HANA platforms.
• Successful participation in approximately three full-lifecycle SAP deployments demonstrating progressive career growth. Your progression should ideally reflect prior responsibilities as a functional module lead, an integration manager, and an overall project delivery lead.
• Deep familiarity with SAP implementation lifecycles, cross-module touchpoints, interface technologies, and middleware dependencies. You should be capable of challenging technical assumptions and validating solution architecture feasibility.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills when working with third-party system integrators and software partners. You will be expected to hold vendors accountable to statement-of-work deliverables, milestone timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Exceptional executive presence, verbal communication, and written presentation capabilities. You must be able to distill complex technical and functional challenges into clear business trade-offs for C-level executives and steering committees.

Education & Academic Background

• Undergraduate Degree (Required): A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related quantitative/technical discipline is required. Equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong technical and operational acumen will also be considered.
• Advanced Degree (Preferred): A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master of Science in Information Systems, Technology Management, or Project Management is highly desirable. Advanced coursework or degrees help bridge strategic business objectives with complex technical architectures.
• Continuous Learning: Demonstrated ongoing professional education in enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, enterprise software release management, or modern agile delivery practices is strongly valued.
