Python Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Governance Engineer to develop and enhance strategic Data Management capabilities. This role involves using Python and REST API integrations with Collibra, designing database solutions for enterprise data governance, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve data-related issues. The position offers an opportunity to support a visible Data Governance platform and contribute to future modernization initiatives., * Develop and enhance strategic Data Management capabilities using Python and REST API integrations with Collibra.

• Design, develop, and maintain database solutions supporting enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues.
• Support implementation and monitoring of data quality controls and metrics.
• Analyze data issues, identify root causes, and drive remediation efforts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, development planning, testing, and production support activities.
• Contribute to future modernization initiatives, including migration of data management solutions to cloud platforms.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional software development or data engineering experience is required.

Technical Skills:

• Python development with REST API integration.
• Advanced SQL and relational database design.
• Linux/Unix expertise, including knowledge of the command line interface.
• Agile software development experience (Scrum or Kanban).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a data governance platform, such as Collibra Data Governance Center.
• Experience with AutoSys job scheduling.

• Exposure to enterprise-scale data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
