System Administrator (High Performance Computing)

As a Sr. System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You’ll also end your day knowing that you’re doing work that truly matters., * Skilled with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu): configure and manage Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

• Understanding of HPC architecture: knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand and Slingshot
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Salt, and Ansible
• OS Install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking
• BASH scripting, software compilation, and install.
• Superior IT trouble shooting skills: analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
• Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum of ten (10) years of system administration experience or fifteen (15) years’ experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification
